We designed Towns to be a seamless messaging experience from a UI perspective. This guide will walk you through the main elements of the Towns interface, helping you navigate and make the most of the platform.
When you open the Towns app (on desktop or iOS beta), you'll land on your main dashboard:
Profile Section: Access your personal profile, settings, and account information.
Content Panel: Quick links to different sections of Towns, including Threads, Mentions, Unreads, and Channels.
Message Feed: A feed showing recent activities from your whichever Channel, Threads, or DMs you’ve selected.
Unread Notifications: Alerts for new messages, replies, and mentions
Search Bar: Find specific users, messages, or content.
Town Info: This includes the Town Profile NFT and “Share Town Link”
Towns: All the different Towns you’re a member of are shown in the left hand column (or top column on iOS app).
Once you're in a town, you'll see:
Town Header: Displays the Town name, link to share Town, and member count.
Content Feed: Shows posts, discussions, and activities within the town.
Town Settings: (For founders/moderators) Manage town configuration. Click on the Town Profile NFT to display the Town Info and Settings:
