Navigating the Towns Interface

We designed Towns to be a seamless messaging experience from a UI perspective. This guide will walk you through the main elements of the Towns interface, helping you navigate and make the most of the platform.

Inside a Town

When you open the Towns app (on desktop or iOS beta), you'll land on your main dashboard:

  1. Profile Section: Access your personal profile, settings, and account information.

  2. Content Panel: Quick links to different sections of Towns, including Threads, Mentions, Unreads, and Channels.

  3. Message Feed: A feed showing recent activities from your whichever Channel, Threads, or DMs you’ve selected.

  4. Unread Notifications: Alerts for new messages, replies, and mentions

  5. Search Bar: Find specific users, messages, or content.

  6. Town Info: This includes the Town Profile NFT and “Share Town Link”

  7. Towns: All the different Towns you’re a member of are shown in the left hand column (or top column on iOS app).

Info about a Town

Once you're in a town, you'll see:

  1. Town Header: Displays the Town name, link to share Town, and member count.

  2. Content Feed: Shows posts, discussions, and activities within the town.

  3. Town Settings: (For founders/moderators) Manage town configuration. Click on the Town Profile NFT to display the Town Info and Settings:
