Getting into your first Town

Welcome to Towns! This guide will walk you through the process of creating and setting up your Towns account, allowing you to start exploring and participating in you own digital town square.

Step 1: Join a Town

1. Accept a Town invite. You’ll see a screen that looks like this. Smash that green “Join” button.

Step 2: Login and Join Flow

Towns login is powered by Privy. Pick a sign in method and enter the confirmation code.

Step 3: Confirm Assets and Mint Membership

1. For towns that are Token gated, you’ll be prompted to prove ownership over the digital asset the Town is gated by. Link your wallet that holds the asset requested.

   

2. If the Town you’re joining has a membership fee, you’ll be prompted to pay at this time.

   

3. Once you pay, click continue, and you’ll mint your membership to Towns. It might take anywhere up to a minute to get through so stay patient.

   

Step 4: Choose a username

Choose a username you want to be known by in that town. You can change it for every town you join.

Step 5: Confirm your membership
